Multi-Output Desk Power Supply

Published 2021/05/13

The idea

I regularly use different voltages for different devices on my desk. Having 3 or more differnt switch-mode power supplies laying around is not great and uses up a lot of space, so I wanted a bench power supply that can deliver different voltages and has multiple outputs for each voltage.
I went with a Quickcharge 2.0 / 3.0 control board and three QC trigger modules. The modules needed to have the USB connectors desoldered with a hot air gun and unfortunately the LCDs are only readable from below - that's how the christmas tree design was born. All in all I'm quite happy with it but I would probably go with 3 dedicated controllable buck converters next time. There are either 4ish, 5, 9 or 12V in QC 2.0 mode or between 4 and 12V in 0.2V steps in QC 3.0 mode.
